Florence!

Florence was a quick trip with my girl Brenda! Our only goal was to see Michelangelo's Statue of David. Upon stumbling (not really) through Florence, we encountered the JAW-DROPPING, EYE-POPPING Duomo, or The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore. It was amazing. I remember telling Brenda, "what is that? That has to be something!" Never mind the dozens of tourists surrounding the beautiful piece of architecture. It was like God painted a picture and placed it in the middle of Florence. The picture still makes it look surreal. Imagine it in person.

It was time to rome...but not in Rome this time lol.

Gelato! If it's there, I'm getting it. Obsession.

A kiss from Cupid! I believe there was relevance between Cupid and Florence but I do not recall (perks of writing blog posts over a year later).

And finally what we've all been waiting for, David! If I recall correctly, it cost 25 Euros to walk into this museum with David (a bit expensive when you consider how it costs to see other works). On top of that, we were not allowed to take pictures but managed to do so cunningly lol. There was no way you're making me pay so much money and I can't take a picture? Are you out of your mind! I need evidence that I was heah!

To end off the perfect day, we took in a classic lunch/dinner of a local restaurant by the Duomo. Pasta! Better yet Spaghetti as we Americans call it. I still remember how GOOD this one tasted.

If I'm ever in Italy for a long period of time again, I will definitely go out of my way to visit Florence. Beautiful place.

Sevilla, Spain!

Españaaaaaa!

There were many things to do in Spain, but not as much as Rome and Paris. My friends and I had a lot of time to lollygag and study. The studying part was too easy, so we had even moooore time to explore and do our own thing.  Spain was absolutely beautiful. I regret not bonding with the doves al parque! There really isn't much to write for my time living in Seville, mostly in part because we never stayed sober (with an abundance in cheapness of wine, champagne, beer, tobacco and nothing else to do, what do you expect from me son), so anything that wasn't too important or memorable is now forgotten. Gotta blame the hash too.

I couldn't even tell you the names of most of the places I've been to in Seville, besides of course The Cathedral where Christopher Columbus bones supposedly lies (pictures noted below), Plaza de Toros de Ronda (never actually got to see a bullfight though -- still on my list) and the Titanic Exhibition. I do remember the club names though lol (totally unlike me, I stay productive as much as I have fun). But enjoy these pictures! When I say Seville was beautiful, it really was beaaaaautiful. The friendships I embarked on were also unforgettable and I'm glad I met these people I've lived, partied, ate and argued with, wouldn't change a thing. We "fulljoyed" our experience everywhere, no one or nothing ever affected anything. We lived it up to the best of our capability. That's how it should be eryday yo.

The tomb of Christopher Columbus .

They customized Thanksgiving for us (since it's not celebrated in Europe obviously lol). It was so sweet!

Christmas time in Seville is TRULY spectacular. It was like Disney on Ice except it was everywhere throughout the city, especially the center.

There was no way I was leaving Europe without seeing Flamenco! Those who really really really know me know I've been studying Spanish, i's culture and everything about it for years, since 2nd grade as far as I can remember. I became familiar with Flamenco in my early years of college and fell in love with the art. So much passion, heart, focus in the dance and music, you can see and feel it for yourself.

We took a trip to Aracena to visit Gruta de Las Maravillas. Too dope! I can't find those pictures that we weren't supposed to take in the cave. Too dope!

The food. It has always been hard for me to become accustomed to other food from different cultures. My parents raised us strictly on Jamaican food, but recently I've been stepping out and trying new things. I won't say the food in Spain was the best, but I found foods like paella to be visually and delectably delicious. We pretty much ate at our favorite restaurant (an American restaurant -- I know, we're so bad) Sloppy Joe's the whole time in Spain. They loved us and I don't think they will ever forget us lmao. I totally forgot about all of the shenanigans until just now while writing this. I was obsessed with the bagels in Dunkin Donuts and I have witnesses to back me up when I say American stuff is just better in Europe, it's crazy, even the customer service and the restaurants themselves. Coca-Cola was another addiction I had over there!

The nightlife was always entertaining, probably the most entertaining out of the three places I lived while in Europe(Rome is strong competition). I tried hookah for the first time in Spain (pretty rad thing to say) and we discovered the dopest night clubs too close to when we were leaving. We were pissed, but we turnt up any chance we could, even the pregaming. Bandalai and Abril are MUST gos in Seville. Calle Betis was our normal spot, even during the week sometimes. I think it's fair to say we had the most hilarious times on our balconies though. I miss all of that.

Haaaaaa Amber's face kills me every time, Labo can't handle hahaha.

There's many things that fascinated me in Spain, like taxis coming in form of Mercedes Benz cars (everywhere in Europe honestly) lol. I also got to work on my Spanish much more than ever before. Until next time Spain! Barcelona and Madrid, coming up! #globetrotters #nextup #whyamihashtagging
